DO'S AND DON'TS
FOR YOUR SEPTIC TANK
01.
-Have your Septic System inspected regularly.

-Don't drive heavy vehicles or build any structures over any part of your septic system.
03.
-Limit excessive watering of the lawn over the drain field.
04.
-Don't plant trees or shrubs on or near the bed, roots and clog pipes.
05.
-Limit the amount of grease, oil, fats, and No food down the drain.
06.
-Every 3-5 years have you Septic tank pumped.
07.
-Avoid using harsh chemicals such bleach and Anti bacterial soaps.
08.
- Prevent flushing feminine hygiene products, sanitaion wipes, Qtips and Cigarette Butts.
09.
- Don't Treat Your Septic System Poorly, It Is Not A Garbage Disposal.
10.
- DO practice water conservation and ensure fixtures do not leak.
WHERE IS MY SEPTIC TANK?
-Use a piece of rebar and a hammer insert in 6" intervals looking for top of concrete tank. Locate all four tank corners and determine if tank is placed horizontally or vertically to your house.
- Most lids are placed in the center line of the horizontal plan, most tanks are approximately 4x8 feet, 48x96 inches.
-Uncover all lids so the technician can remove and clean your tank.
